9 Person 40K Team Time Trial

As a curtain raiser both clubs are asked to field as many teams as possible for a race off against each other.

The rules are simple:
1. Teams will comprise of 9 riders with each team having a minimum of 1 youth rider & 1 female or 2 females and at least 2 leisure cyclists. (i.e. the team cannot be a field of out and out racers!).
2. No rider can be dropped before Shrule.
3. The time for the seventh Rider to cross the line will be the Team Time.
4. The last rider (9th) must be within 5% of the Team’s time or a 5 minute penalty will apply.

This event will start at 5pm sign on at the cycling centre from 4pm the route is Ballinrobe via, The Neale, Cross, Glencorrib turn left at Ballyfruit on to Shrule road, Shrule, Kilmaine finishing at the Cycling centre.

Teams will go at 3 minute intervals.

Team captains and vice captains will be picked shortly so we can start forming their respective teams. The emphasis will be on Club teamwork ensuring that all 9 riders cross the line together if possible.

Showers will be provided afterwards in the Lake Side Leisure Centre.
