
Ras Mhaigheo – Youth Competition
The youth section of the Rás Mhaigheo had a good turnout of young cyclists for the St Patricks Day event.
14 young Covey Wheelers started the race and with some success.
In the under 12 race Joelene Francis Longford C.C had a strong race to hold off the challenge of Laura Cooke Limerick C.C, and Aaron Doherty Covey Wheelers C.C in third, and a great effort by 10 year old Covey Wheelers Michael Dawson in forth.

The Under 14 race was a very close affair with Jake Gray East Tyrone just taking the win from Joshua Francis Longford C.C and Caimin Muldoon, Seven Springs in third place in his first youth race.

The Under 16 event became a two man race on lap 1, when Thomas Fallon, Wolftrap
made a break coming out of Mace, he was joined by Con Doherty Covey Wheelers Westport C.C and they held the lead to the line with Thomas Fallon taking the win from Con Doherty, the bunch sprint was taken by Ciaran Campbell of Drogheda Wheelers from Chris Kennedy Covey Wheelers Westport C.C.
