Group 3 – Race Report –
By Tom McGreal
Well it was a beautiful evening and a great turn out. We had a nice even group and set of at a fairly lively pace. The tail wind was great and even though a few jumps were made no one was away for long.
Most of the group worked hard while some were enjoying the scenery hanging on the back. We all got a surprise when we turned in Louisburgh as the head wind was fairly nasty. Again we shared the work coming in with Aiden & Padraig putting in some big turns. The bunch were still mostly together at Gannons and things were getting very tactical.
Padraig jumped at the Cloona road and I went with him. Aiden, followed by Eoin, brought us back. We all reached the hill together and Eoin was the 1st to go, I just got his wheel in time and got around him at the line. Delighted with the win. Still loads to do to survive group 2 which has some big hitters. Roll on next race. Tom
