T.Bourke Midsummer GP

T.Bourke Midsummer GP will take place next Saturday evening 21st June at 6pm. The 77.5km race is open to all racers as it is a Handicapped event.
 
Sign on: The Skate Park, Louisburgh Road from 5pm.
Licence: Handicapped event, open to all race licences
Race starts: at 6pm sharp
Route: Westport – Louisburgh – Killeen -Cregganbaun – Aisleigh Falls – Westport. The finish is at the top of the incline in Farnaught.

Last years winner Charlie Prendergast is unable to defend the title due to injury but he is sending his younger brother Jason of Liquidworx to bring the cup back to Louisburgh. Other big names include Anthony Murray Subaru, David Brennan Castlebar, Sean O’Malley Ballinrobe and our own James McGreevey.
 
This event is kindly sponsored by one of our Club Members Tom Bourke who’s family have been involved with cycling for generations. There will be prizes for the top 6 Overall, unplaced A3, unplaced A4, unplaced Junior and ladies prize. Presentation and refreshments in T.Bourkes Pub on Castlebar Street afterwards.
