Reliability trials for Connacht development squad 2011

Hi Folks,

As some of you will know I have taken over the role of Connacht development for 2011 and with the help of current and past national and international riders and coaches part of my aim is to increase the standard of our racing riders.

To do this I wish to gather those interested in representing our province regardless of current category or form so that a squad of riders can be put together for the coming season. From this squad a number of riders will be selected for various events across the racing calendar with each team hopefully comprising of experience and inexperience . With these events yet to be decided upon it is hoped to target events where results can be achieved by us a province rather than just making up the numbers.

The first get together for those willing is detailed below. It is not a race although those wishing to race the final 15km will be encouraged to do so.The majority of the ride will be 32-34kmph.
Please note that current physical ability is not an issue however a desire to represent our province outside the province is.

PLEASE NOTE : A valid 2011 Cycling Ireland license will be required to sign on or otherwise a 1 day licence will be required.

DISTANCE : APPROX 90km.
COURSE : Predominantly flat.
RACING : Final 15km

VENUE : Community Centre Bohola. (on the N5 from Castlebar )
SIGN ON : 9:45am
RIDE START : 10:30am

COURSE : Predominantly flat.
RACING : Final 15km
