
Étape Connemara – Sunday September 1st
Just under a month to go before the inaugural Étape Connemara, the newest chip-timed cycling sportive, we are delighted to announce that registrations are starting to fill quickly. Entry for this 150km chip-timed sportive is €100 and ALL PROCEEDS go directly to Croí, the Heart & Stroke Charity.
UPDATE: All Riders will receive a Limited Edition Cycling Jersey
Entry is Limited to the First 500 Entrants in year 1. All of these riders will receive the Étape Connemara Limited Edition Jersey worth €70.
About the ÉTAPE CONNEMARA: The Étape Connemara is a new 150km cycling sportive which will take place on Sunday 1st September 2013. This is a chip-timed event on open roads in Connemara. The event is organised by Croí, the heart & stroke charity, with all proceeds going back to the charity. ENTRY IS LIMITED to 500 riders and strictly on a first-come-first-served basis.
Start Time: 07.00 – 07.50am, Sunday 1st September 2013
Riders will start in pens of 50 cyclists, ordered by their Bib Number. Each pen will be released at 5 minute intervals starting at 7.00am. Last Group of riders should be started by 7.50am.
Ranking and Positioning in Pens: All riders will receive a Bib Number and Timing Chip. Your Bib Number will decide what Starting Pen you are allocated to.
For Year 1: Timing chips and Bib numbers will be allocated by date of registration. Riders with the low numbers start first.
For Year 2: Your Pen number will depend on your previous year’s finish time; fastest finisher in 2013 will be allocated Bib No. 1 for Étape Connemara 2014.
