
Mayo League Rd 7 Ballaghaderreen Wednesday June 26th
Sign on from 6.15pm, Turn right at the Gardai station at top of the town ,
the Gaa pitch is 1km up that road. There will be a few signs on poles to
guide.
Race distance 55km Start in Ballaghaderreen with the finish at the top of a
hill in the village of lisacul about 7km from the town.
Race start at 7.15pm sharp.
Refreshments after race in the Fiddlers Elbow the square Ballaghaderreen.
Mayo league hill climb July 3rd. Due to unforeseen circumstance
this round of the will be postponed till Tuesday July 30st. Please alert
your riders.
Mayo league Team Time Trial Castlebar July 10th : Clubs can enter
as many teams as they wish however only two teams points from one club will
contribute towards points in the team classification. Teams can have up to 7
riders with the time of the 5th rider over the finish line to count as the
overall team time. The team/club can select their squad whatever way they
wish once all riders have a CI licence. No composite teams allowed.

The Mayo cycling champs will be held on July 17th in Westport,
this will be a mass start event, open to all riders with a club racing
licence upwards. (no U12 or U14) each rider can compete for the overall and
their respective category. Categories (A1,A2,A3,A,4, JUNIOR, LADIES, U16 ,
CLUB RACERS AND TEAM) there must be at least 4 riders in a category for it
to be recognised. Only riders registered with a Mayo cycling club can
compete.
Supporting Local clubs events: Castlebar CC are holding a sportive
on Saturday June 29th with various distances to suit all abilities, Western
Lakes and Westport Covey Wheelers are holding a full weekend of activities on
July 20th & 21st including a multi distance sportif, a crit race and a
family cycle on the 21st to suit all.
