Mayo League 2012 – Rnd 7 Hill Climb, Overall and Team GC

Following a great turnout by the Covies in Tourmakeady last night Ger Corcoran still leads the Mayo league on 438 points. Con Doherty stole the show with a blistering time of 11:42 gathering 100pts for his effort. Michael Brady, Francis Sheridan and Sean Flynn all put in good times securing valuable points for the Team Classification.

Poor conditions saw the times slip back from the original time but Barry Holian of Western Lakes remains in 2nd(428pts) while Keith O’Connell also retained 3rd Overall(413pts). The Covies still in contention of a top ten placing overall are Colin Browne currently in 6th place with Damien Gannon and Francis Sheridan lying 13th and 15th respectively.

The focus now turns to the final TT next Wednesday 13th June. We will need all the TT specialists and the riders who took part in the first TT to turn up to score as many points as possible. Western Lakes Team are now on 1722pts with Westport on 1448pts. There will also be a Team Time Trial event later in the season.
